Cooler Master ESG

In response to the Paris Agreement, Cooler Master has established group-level greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets, decarbonization pathways, and transition strategies. Our science-based targets were officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Through continuous decarbonization efforts, we have achieved meaningful progress: in 2024, our absolute GHG emissions were approximately 59% lower than the 2022 base year, demonstrating steady advancement along our science-based reduction pathway.

Scope 1

●   Prioritize virtual meetings over in-person meetings

●   Use low-GWP refrigerants and laboratory cooling fluids

Scope 2

●    Energy-efficient equipment and process upgrades

●    Purchase equipment and materials compliant with environmental standards

●    Implement energy-saving management measures

●    Replacement of aging transformers (over 10 years in service)

●    Introduction of waste heat and cooling recovery technologies

●    Lighting upgrades

●    Accelerate smart and automated equipment, e.g.Online monitoring for high-energy equipment

●    50% of factories adopt ISO 50001 for full production line energy assessment

●    Use high-efficiency fans for heat dissipation to reduce power consumption

●    Office heat-insulation film projects to reduce AC load

●    Smart elevator management

●    Dormitory AC online monitoring to improve cooling efficiency and precision

●    Renewable energy integration

●    From 2024: 50% of our facility adopted on-site solar PV generation for self-consumption

●    From 2025: Commit to 30% renewable electricity usage

Scope 3

●    Low-carbon raw materials and sustainable supply chain

●    Adopt low-carbon raw materials based on carbon footprint and LCA analysis

●    Supplier ESG evaluation

●    Consolidate waste transportation, implement recycling and reuse to reduce

outsourced transport emissions

●    Electrification of leased transport vehicles

●    Employee carpool program and commuting management to reduce solo driving and

commute emissions

●    Centralized booking for business travel to reduce unnecessary trips
