How to determine the airflow direction of your case fans?

When looking at our fans, the Front or Intake side of the fan will always be the side that has the Cooler Master Logo in the center of the blades.

The Rear or Exhaust side (the side that the air comes out of) of our fans will always be the side that houses the fan motor. You will also be able to identify the Exhaust side as you will see power wires entering the fan motor.

Lastly, the fan airflow can be identified by the arrow markings on the fan housing.

The Pump RPM of MasterLiquid PRO

Q: I get 9600 rpm reading in BIOS for the water pump and I not sure if this is normal or inaccurate reading from the pump.

A: Since the MasterLiquid series pump is using new technology, the speed signal is not interpreted correctly by the PC, or that divider is not applied. The correct RPM would need to apply a divider of 3, so the real RPM would be 9600/3=3200 RPM, which is 3000RPM+/- 10%.

The bubble noise of water pump

It may experience the pump noise when installing cooler first time or after relocating system. The noise is typically caused by air bubbles moving through the pump and tube. Here are some ways can reduce the air bubbles of the system.
 

  1. To ensure that at least a portion of the radiator is higher than the pump.
  2. To install it with the tubes entering at the bottom of the radiator when installing at the rear or side panel of a case.
  3. It may help to uninstall and shake the radiator for help to move the air bubbles along in some cases.

Seidon Series 120mm radiator installation

Parts Needed

Radiator Screw x 4
Locate a good location in the case to mount the radiator.
Mounting - Rear Exhaust  
The best location is the rear exhaust port of the case. Align the mounting holes for a 120mm fan on the case to the radiator

Using the provided Radiator Screws, attach the radiator to the case.

Start by installing one screw in top of radiator.
Then attach the opposite bottom screw.
This will make installation easier.

Finish securing radiator to the case by attaching, the last two screws.

Note: Orientation of cooling tubes may vary depending on the individual case installation.
Mounting - Top Exhaust  
Another mounting location used is the top of the case. Align the holes on the radiator with the 120mm mounting holes on the top of the case.

Using the provided radiator screws, attach the radiator to the case.
Start by installing one screw in top of radiator.
Then attach the opposite bottom screw.
This will make installation easier.
