Conclusion

The Cooler Master HAF X really deserves the term flagship. The size of the housing offers plenty of space for very rich hardware equipment. The pre-installed fan is already delivering a very good air flow through the housing. But for fans of water cooling, see the HAF X is a very good case.
The processing, delivery and the facilities could convince me completely. The case is currently in Caseking.de to have a price of € 179.90.

Therefore gives the Cooler Master HAF X Dirks case of computer corner the predicate: Unlimited Recommended!

Yes but now, these little criticisms are really thin face all the good things that this highlights HAF X. Overall, we conquered, and finds its place as a worthy member of the family that HAF as a top spec. It is certainly more expensive than its little brother, the HAF 932, but in return it is more complete and offers new systems that will be useful to many of you. As a reminder, it is currently marketed for about 120 €, against € 180 for HAF X, an additional cost justified in our eyes.

We therefore will award him a silver trophy, because everything is not perfect yet ... although there is not far.

Conclusion

Another High Air Flow Hit by Cooler Master with the HAF X series.  This case though heavy brings many improvements which not only make your life easier to install and swap components, but additional extreme cooling options and support that kick up a notch your gaming rig to the next level of coolness.  The style is rugged alright! and it is built like tank!  I can see easily installing 3 video cards, just ensure you remove the inside panel fan vent that may touch the cards if it becomes a problem.  I would have liked to see a dust filter on the bottom PSU intake area for prevention of dust, something that once again is missing.  Other than that as shown in the video review this is a well rounded extreme case with many impreovements for those looking to build a monster PC.

CoolerMaster made sure that HAF X is a worthy successor to the popular HAF 932 and it certainly is one of the best cases we've seen so far. HAF X is a full tower case with plenty of space and quiet yet very efficient cooling.

HAF X will definitely appeal to enthusiasts and hard core gamers alike and its features speak for itself. Quality cooling, compatibility with pretty much any motherboard and graphics card form factor, USB 3.0 connectors, hot-swappable drive bays, hot looks – HAF X has it all.

To demonstrate the fact that it has more room than you’ll probably ever need, we strapped it with our EVGA 4-Way Classified SLI motherboard and the former fit like a glove. Nine expansion slots on the rear panel allow for setting up to four video cards and four large but quiet fans will make sure cooling is top notch. Since this is a pretty hefty case, HAF X comes with wheels.

In conclusion, we definitely recommend HAF X as we’re talking about one of the best cases currently around, and you can find it priced at €165,

Time of writing (26-07-2010) costs HAF X 1319 crowns at Komplett - It's a lot of money for a Cabinet, but looks on the design, number of features and cooling potential, the cabinet, in my opinion, worth the money. Based on the test, the advanced features and my own preference, rewarded HAF X with an "Editors Choice" award.

Most of the chassis is tool free and the case features a SATA docking area that lets you access your HDDs without removing any side panels. The cable routing areas are grommeted to prevent nicks and cuts on cables and the case has nine rear expansion ports. One of the coolest features is a safety cover for the power switch.

With the HAF X from Cooler Master, we can simply say you have a very good product at hand. Cooler Master has clearly taken the good qualities from the previous HAF products, and improved what was possible. What you are left with is certainly a solid feel and quality housing, with plenty of space on all sides.”

Would I recommend this case? I haven't come across a Cooler Master case that I have not liked so far and I don't think that is going to change. The ease of building in these cases put them above the rest, plus the attention to detail in the case design is impressive to say the least. If you are a gamer and have some spare room bump your rig up to the HAF X you will not be dissappointed.

After using the HAF X for sometime now, I can easily say that this case is not just an improvement upon the original design, but one that is very well deserving to the be the new face of the HAF series. A few of the main factors that drew so many enthusiasts to the HAF 932 was the industrial style of the case, the High Air Flow design (aka HAF) and the ability to support the latest technologies. In these regards the HAF X did an exceptional job not just meeting, but greatly exceeding all the expectations I had prior to the review. This is in part due to its very efficient cooling setup that utilizes four large case fans to cool all the internal components. With the added bonus of having the option to use a large, top-mounted radiator, without any modification, this makes the HAF X absolutely phenomenal when it come to cooling performance.

The HAF X comes with a variety of features that help it stand out from previous designs.  In the review we mentioned a variety of different drive mounting options including HDD and SSD drive adaptors and a 2 drive SATA hot swap controller.  Cooling is also a big feature on the HAF X which includes several 200mm fan positions that can also be converted to a multitude of 120mm locations for convenient watercooling setups.

I see the HAF X as an alternative to the Corsair 700D. I say this for couple of reasons. First being taste for overall look; HAF leans more, "hey look at me", 700D leans more laid back. The HAF X can support quad video card setups, 700D triple. Both can handle the same amount of drives and motherboard types. Both can handle water cooling, the Corsair Obsidian 700D is a little more roomy in that respect but it is also 3" deeper and 1" taller than the HAF X. The biggest thing the HAF X has over the 700D is it costs less -- $50 less -- and has other features like USB 3.0 and hot-swap drive bays not found in the 700D or really any other case in this price range. Cooler Master says that the HAF X will have an MSRP of $199.99 and will be available worldwide early June 2010.

So if you're in the market for a case that can hold up to 4 video cards, water cooling, hot swap bays and looks cool, then Cooler Master has you covered with the HAF X. At under $200 you would be hard pressed to beat it.

Cooler Master HAF X is probably one of the most fully-loaded cases around today. We could complain about its price tag – and in fact we tend not to recommend cases that cost USD 200 or more –, but we think this case presents a compatible price tag to the amount of features it carries. Also, the USD 200 price is the suggested price, and retailers rarely sell cases at the suggested price, so its street price should be a little bit less than that. Of course if you are a regular user that won’t need all the features provided by HAF X you will be better off buying a more affordable case. But if you want to build a very high-end machine with several video cards, several hard drives and up to three SSDs, HAF X provides an excellent value.

There are some things I would have liked to have seen, such as a couple black SATA cables for the hot swap PCB and maybe a cover for it to clean things up. To be really honest, though, for the $199.99 MSRP I think the HAF-X is worth every penny. Keep your eyes peeled to your favorite e-tailers, as June is just around the corner.

If you're already well versed in Cooler Master products, you'll realise that "942" is above its existing and very popular HAF 932 case, so as you probably guessed too then, it's also bigger.
