All in all, Cooler Master did a wonderful job providing a universal product for both AMD and Intel platforms. This cooler will fit into most recent sockets and will perform well above average retail solution. Although it has just been announced it will sell for roughly $45 green. In my opinion it's a perfect solution for those seeking peaceful operation and rock solid performance.

A good cooler for sure, as it does what is advertised to the fullest; highly recommended if you hate noise yet do want to yield good cooling results. You'll be able to purchase the Cooler Master Hyper 212 for 43 USD or roughly 35 EUR.

This heatsink is amazing for overclocking. It can handle a lot of power and it's quiet, something that's a very rare combination in today’s high end air cooling solutions. Over the week or so of working with this heatsink, we here at Technohydra.com have become more and more impressed with its combination of performance, looks, and silent operation. This is most definitely a heatsink I would recommend for the high end overclocker.

The Coolermaster Hyper 212 is a 60mm tall heatsink, and it's comprised of just the right mix of copper heatpipes and aluminum cooling fins. I'll save you the trouble of skipping to the end of this review, it's good!
Intel processors vary in power output between single and multi-core processors, so FrostyTech tests heatsinks with two thermal loads that represent the upper limit of each CPU family.
With a 150W heat load applied by the Intel LGA775 version of FrostyTech's synthetic test platform, the Coolermaster Hyper 212 heatsink certainly doesn't give much ground... The heatsink holds steady with a rise above ambient temperature of just 19.0 degree, with 45.9dBA noise. That makes the Coolermaster Hyper 212 one of the Top 5 Intel heatsinks Frostytech has tested to date (tied along with Zalman and Apack heatsinks), and one of the Top 10 AMD heatsinks!
Next an 85W heat load was applied for the second LGA775 synthetic thermal test. The Coolermaster Hyper 212 maintained a rise above ambient temperature of just 11.8 degree. Once again, a great performance from this single-fan heatsink from Coolermaster. Recommended, in spite of the inconvenient mounting hardware.

All in all Cooler Master has produced an excellent cooler in the Hyper 212. At a selling price of around $40 it provides excellent value for what you pay for it. The Hyper 212 won't satisfy everyone, but many readers will find it the best buy in this price range for a new CPU cooler.

Wollen wir abschlieBend ein paar zusammenfassende Worte fur den Cooler Master Hyper 212 finden. Einen Uberflieger wie einst der Hyper 6 stellt der neue Hyper 212 leider nicht dar, kann sich jedoch zumindest bei entsprechend starker Beluftung im Vorderfeld unserer Kuhlercharts platzieren und weiB in Sachen Qualitat zu uberzeugen. Weniger erfreulich waren dagegen die eher maBige Performance bei geringen Lufterdrehzahlen und im Passiv-Betrieb, die eher umstandliche aber stabile Montage sowie der laute und nicht nebengerauschfreie mitgelieferte PWM-Lufter. Wenn man jedoch den recht niedrigen Preis des Hyper 212 betrachtet, kann der Kuhler zumindest fur einige weniger gerauschempfindliche Naturen eine echte Alternative darstellen und den Xigmatek HDT-S1283 als Preis-Leistungs-Empfehlung verdrangen.

I believe that even though Cooler Master Hyper 212 may not impress the users spoilt by the remarkable efficiency of the supercoolers, this solution still turned out a success. And it is not only its very decent efficiency, universal design or moderate level of produced noise, but the price-to-efficiency ratio of this cooling solution. We compared the Cooler Master product against pretty much the best air cooler out there, but I didn’t mention the 70% higher price of the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme on purpose. Moreover, the latter is shipped even without the fan. Of course, if you are looking for an unbeatable cooling solution and have unlimited budget, the choice is evident. However, far not everyone and not always need cooling systems like the Thermalright one, which is also pretty hard to find these days. This is when Cooler Master Hyper 212 comes in handy.

The Hyper 212 is an outstanding heat sink. CoolerMaster has done an incredible job on this heatsink and has really earned the name CoolerMaster. This is a high performance heat sink at a very nice price and it's nearly silent. Adding the second fan increased the performance and the noise output. It's going to be up to you do decide which is right for you. But, as you can see in the chart above, the single fan solution still performs very well. Overall I'm very impressed with the Hyper 212. It's a great performing heat sink at a great price. It's very easy for me to give the Hyper 212 the Club Overclocker Recommended Seal!

As you can see in the graphics we then started to loop the CPU multithreaded stress test over and over again. You'll notice that the heat buildup is 44 Degrees C (113 Farenheit) which is pretty good to be honest. Now please bare in mind that the processor is in an overclocked state as we squeezed 600 MHz extra out of it.

Cooler Master zeigt, dass der Hyper 212 derzeit zur Kuhlerelite zu zahlen ist. Beim Serien-Lufter-Setup ist ein ordentlicher Kompromiss gefunden worden, die Option, einen zweiten Lufter aufzubauen, kann man getrost bleiben lassen. Bei 990 Upm leise, bis hin zu 2000 Upm mit deutlich als zu laut zu bezeichnender Gerauschkulisse. Optimal hier der Einsatz einer Lufterregelung oder der Einsatz eines Ultra-Silent Nachrustlufters nach Wahl. Trotz vermeintlich etwas aufwendiger Montage und notigem Mainboardausbau entpuppt sich der Aufbau letztendlich als sehr gelungen. Zudem belohnt die sehr gute Kuhlleistung den Anwender fur den Aufbau-Mehraufwand gegenuber z.B. einer Push-Pin Montage. Auf Grund aller Merkmale erhalt der Cooler Master Hyper 212 die wohlverdiente Auszeichnung als Hartware Redaktionstipp in Verbindung mit einem fairen Preis und verfehlt die Top 5 Einstufung nur knapp.
