The M850 is a high quality and competitive unit. It offers four PCIe connections, a facet the M700 is completely unable to do, and the M850 does so at a considerably lower price than that of the M1000 version. Unless you have many HDDs or other devices and want to power a triple/quad SLI or Crossfire system, the M850 is going to be a very good choice.

Cooler Master è nota ai più per gli ottimi case e per i notebook cooler, oltre che per un buon assortimento di dissipatori per CPU. Il colosso taiwanese però non si accontenta, ed ora punta alla conquista di un settore particolarmente ostico e popolato di agguerriti avversari: quello delle PSU. In attesa del debutto del nuovissimo Cooler Master UCP 900W, primo alimentatore con questo wattaggio a ricevere il riconoscimento "80 Plus Silver" segnalando un livello di efficienza pari all'88%, tratteremo in questa recensione un'altra novità interessante: si tratta del Cooler Master Real Power M850, anch'esso certificato "80 Plus", ma sopratutto il primo alimentatore al mondo ad avere 6 rail a 12V per distribuire al meglio il carico di lavoro in presenza di sistemi QUAD-SLI.

Beste voeding: Cooler Master Real Power M
En de vlag kan niet alleen uit bij de kastenafdeling van Cooler Master: ook de award voor beste voedingen serie van 2008 gaat richting Venlo. Antec, Be Quiet, Corsair, OCZ en Thermaltake waren alle genomineerd, maar uiteindelijk gingen de meeste stemmen naar de Real Power M serie.
