Explore the intense gaming actions, capture the flaming enthusiasm during the Kode5 2007 season, shoot, edit and produce your own video clip. It is a stage that you can express your thoughts and views about the gaming world. Read on and show the game aficionados what you’ve got!
How to Participate:
Cooler Master is pleased to organize a Kode5 Video Shootout Promotion for all our CM members and all new members who sign-up during event period. Here is your chance to find out and challenge with participants worldwide! Create your story and make your views heard!
Event Duration: October 01st, 2007 (Monday) - February 01st (Tuesday), 2008
What Do I Need To Do: Simply produce a 3 minutes video clip on the theme featuring gaming topic.
How To Participate:
You can participate in this competition by yourself or forming a team. When the film is ready, you need to upload it to video-sharing websites (Youtube.com, Yahoo Video etc.) and then fulfill the form at the upload page. Your video will be qualified after Cooler Master verifies that the topic fits in with the competition.

One video owner will be chosen on Jan. 18th. 2008. The winner will get a free trip to see KODE5 2007 Global Final in Moscow.

Best Screenplay Award: |

One winner will be chosen every month. CM Committee will choose the best screeenplay out of all videos based on: |
|
|
(1) The plot of the play (50%),
(2) Humor (30%)
(3) Overall quality of presentation (20%). |

Best Visual Effect Award: |
|
| |
One winner will be chosen every month. CM Committee will choose the best video out of all videos based on: |
|
| |
(1) Editing Quality (60%),
(2) Sound Quality (20%)
(3) Spotlight effect (20%). |

Audience Popularity Award: |
|
|
One Winner will be chosen every month by a total point score made up of Kode5 Video Shootout ratings, views, and comments. |
|
|
(1) the number of Kode5 Video Shootout views
(2) the number of Kode5 Video Shootout comments
(3) the number of Kode5 Video Shootout ratings (number of stars) |

|
The point score algorithm is: Total Points = 1 times the # of video views your video gets+ 5 times the # of the comment your video receives+ 10 times the # of the stars rating
|

|
|
|
|
Notice: the three awards above won’t be executed if the accumulated amount of participant creations is under 10 videos during each month. The three award winner also can be absent if all of the creations are not qualified. Those prize winners can not be duplicated. |

Most Active Participant: |
|
|
One winner will be chosen every month. The system will accumulate the amount of comments. The participant who posts the maximum comments at KODE5 Video Shootout will get the prize. The award can not be duplicated.

Participation Prize ( Random Draw) : |

Ten prize winners will be drawn every month. The potential winners must fit the following criteria(s): |

(1) If you are CM members and successful to write down one comment at KODE5 Video Shootout Contest, |
|

(2) If one of your creations is approved during the event, you will get a chance to win participation prizes. |

Official Rules:

1. |
The Sponsor may require the potential winner to provide proof of identity for collection of the prizes, and to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and a release of liability and publicity within 14 days of the request, or the prize may be forfeited. |

2. |
If response from a potential winner is not received by the Sponsor within 7 days after the first attempt to contact such potential winner, the prize shall be automatically forfeited and another entrant may be selected by the Sponsor by way of random drawing from the remaining eligible entrants to win the prize in his/her place. |

3. |
Any prize announced may be substituted by similar prize of approximately the same value without further notice if any advertised prize becomes unavailable. No prize is exchangeable for cash. Cooler Master will be responsible for arranging the transportation for the prize(s). |

4. |
All prizewinners shall bear the tax based upon the Law and Governmental Regulations in that area (of the specific Countries). |

5. |
Lucky Draw result will be announced on the website next Monday after the lucky draw held and winner will be notified by e-mail. |

By participating in this contest, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judge(s).] |

Entrants are not allowed to use abusive language or have improper behavior in order to keep the event law and order. |

It is allowed that the winners can be duplicated. |

All personal information submitted by event participants will be treated by Cooler Master (CM) as confidential. By joining the event, all participants agree to grant CM the right to publish their names and other relevant information on any company promotion materials and the right to use their personal information (addresses, fax & telephone numbers) for future promotional mailings. |

Sponsor has the right to decide if the participators get the eligible entries under the Official Rules |
